Olympic Pride House: LGBTs celebrate the opening ceremonies

leave a comment »

Vancouver Pride House opened its celebration site Friday night with a sold-out viewing party for the Olympic opening ceremonies.

Here’s a little of what it looked like.

The Americans were few and far between in
Friday’s crowd, but there was a huge crowd
of French fans.

And a handful of Australians.

Big cheers as the show began …

…and when KD Lang appeared on stage…

…and when Hockey legend Wayne Gretzky took the flame.

If you’re in Vancouver, you’ll find the celebration site at Score on Davie Street in the gay village in downtown Vancouver. It’s about a block from the Pride House main location at Qmunity.
